Komosion supports adoption awareness to give kids families


11th November 2008 - Komosion is supporting a drive to promote awareness of adoption in Australia. A substantial mass media campaign led by actor Deborah Lee Furness this month will include television advertising and media reports. The Board of Komosion has appointed David Warwick as Chief Strategy Officer for the company and Berry Driessen has been promoted to the role of Chief Executive.


5 November 2008 - Former Chief Executive David Warwick has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer and will shift his focus to business growth through steering the company's software development and building business and alliance partnerships.

Berry Driessen, formerly Komosion's Chief Operating Officer, has been promoted to the role of Chief Executive and will be responsible for the company's day-to-day financial and operational management.

Komosion Develops the new Multimedia Victoria website


24 September 2008 - Komosion successfully completed a full redevelopment of the Multimedia Victoria website. This online platform is one Victorian Government's most advanced websites. Features include mobile templates (iPhone compatible), streaming media, RSS Feeds, Pod/Vod casting and social media. The site uses the Komodo Content Management System, Premium edition.

27 August 2008 - "An Australian Internet marketing and software company which can deploy quality corporate websites within hours has been judged one of the country's fastest growing and most innovative companies in 2008."

Komosion has been selected in the ‘Smart50’ for the SmartCompany Awards 2008. The awards, sponsored by National Australia Bank, are the initiative of SmartCompany. Winners will be announced on 12 September.

14 & 28 August 2008 - Komosion's Quarterly Event for clients, business partners and anyone interested in seeing what we are doing was held in both Sydney and Melbourne. Both nights were very successful with a large number of clients attending. Julian Olencewicz, Campaign Manager at Komosion, presented and demonstrated benefits of Search Engine Marketing. Julian showed the potential of marketing tools such as Google Adwords, Google Analytics and other Search Engine Marketing (SEM) approaches to boost online communication outcomes.

In the second session, David Warwick (CEO) in Sydney and Beate Dusterwald (General Manager Agency) in Melbourne looked at 'new world' architecture, changing web standards and the future directions in which web CMS and web publishing is likely to be headed in the future. The presentations also covered web trends including a semantic web, artificial intelligence, online video and tv, personalisation and mobile devices to name a few.

In parallel to the presentations the latest Komodo CMS (Version 5) was demonstrated to new clients and active users.

Komosion CEO David Warwick presents at Open Publish


30 & 31 July 2008 - David Warwick presented a one hour session on 'Trends in Web System Design' at Open Publish, an annual conference for practitioners in the digital publishing arena. The presentation examined how many web applications were based on architectural decisions made a number of years ago and how changing web standards and web trends were likely to impact upon future web applications, in particular web content management systems such as Komosion's – Komodo CMS platform.
