Account Manager


(Permanent - South Melbourne)

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for strengthening client relationships whilst proactively managing the day-to-day activity and opportunities for strategic development of accounts. This includes, but not limited to, identifying new business opportunities from new and existing clients; organising client meetings for Senior staff and creating clear, succinct, proposals for our clients.

Core Responsibilities
  • Become a trusted partner to our clients, be the main contact for incoming client service inquiries as well as responsible for client satisfaction and retention
  • Identify new business opportunities from new clients and within existing client base
  • Organise client meetings, existing and greenfield, for the senior sales and marketing team
  • Support the GM Victoria in the drive for new business
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of our client’s marketing strategy
  • Write compelling briefs that inspire and excite the client and the team
  • Generate solution proposals based on input from delivery team.
  • Work with project managers to ensure successful on time delivery
  • Monitor client communications including risk management.
  • Deliver client reports and run weekly client WIP’s for key accounts
  • Maintain market and industry awareness
  • Keep the team and client informed at all times
  • General administration work

Desired Skills & Experience
  • 3-4 years account management experience in an agency environment
  • Passion for Digital with working knowledge of Digital solutions
  • Ability to understand clients’ business and their marketing needs
  • Ability to work autonomously and run regular client meetings
  • Proven track record in successfully meeting / exceeding sales targets
  • Experience delivering tender documentation advantageous
  • Drive, energy and initiative with a fun and positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to articulate solutions
  • Ability to write clearly, quickly and accurately is essential to the creation of proposals for client work. This includes an ability to simplify and communicate, without jargon, complicated technical and other concepts.
  • Collaborative team player able to lead by example
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively in a busy environment

Must be a Permanent Australian Resident.
