Business Director

Are you a dynamic operator who can wear dual hats, driving senior client relationships, whilst also identifying and winning new business? Do you want to be part of an agile and collaborative agency that has evolved from digital roots to firmly focus on solutions that help clients deliver richer customer experiences – in digital and beyond.

With a strong office in Sydney we are looking to now grow our Victorian operations. We would love you to be well connected in the Melbourne market, with a solid understanding of how the market operates, and some strong opportunities to deliver both strategic digital solutions and consulting services. Expertise in software sales is highly desirable.

Core Responsibilities
  • Own senior key client relationships in the Victorian market and become the ‘Trusted Advisor’ for these clients
  • Provide thought leadership, helping identify client’s specific needs and tailoring Komosion’s products and services offering to assist them in achieving their goals
  • Drive new business activities through prospecting to identify, qualify and generate new sales opportunities: both Komodo CMS (priority) and other Komosion services
  • Represent Komosion at marketing and digital industry netowrking events
  • Create and develop sales strategies and annual sales plans
  • Achieve sales targets while managing and maintaining an opportunity pipeline
  • Development of proposal and pitch documents, in conjunction with other relevant managers in the organisation, and presentation to client (as required)

Desired Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years of related industry experience, preferably business development, account service, agency and/or digital sales experience
  • Proven ability to lead successful client relationships
  • Establihsed netowrk of contacts in the Victorian market
  • Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of the digital space, including software as a service
  • Ability to work effectively with and influence cross-functional team members to deliver on determined client activities
  • Proven track record of business development and meeting forecast revenue targets
  • Superior negotiation and influencing skills
  • A self-motivator, displaying a high level of initiative and drive for result
  • Excellent time and organisation management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including preparation and presentation of key documents
