A new smart phone app for people experiencing domestic violence created by Komosion for Women NSW was launched Monday May 6 by NSW Minister for Family and Community Services and Minister for Women, Pru Goward.

Rocco Fazzari has been creating images for magazines and newspapers since he left art college more than 20 years ago, and is today recognised as one of Australia's best cartoonists. His latest endeavour is to animate his work using a homemade stylus and an iPad - he calls this "Espresso Video Animations". We're happy to announce two new arrivals in the Sydney office this month: Account Manager Charmaine Magrath and Business Analyst Rebecca Zabow. Charmaine was most recently employed at Responsys where she was Customer Success Manager for clients including Westfield, Vodafone, 3 Mobile, Bupa and News Digital Media. Rebecca previously worked with Deloitte on e-commerce solutions for Woolworths and Qantas and joins Komosion after most recently consulting to Electrolux Australia.

February saw the successful roll-out to all standard-licence customers of the latest version of Komodo CMS: version 7. Our development team worked tirelessly and were able to upgrade all of our customers without any serious issues or interruption to services, plus our training team ran some very successful webinars to introduce the new features.
Last Wednesday night our MD John O'Neill and Account Director Dee Teddy were invited along to the Australian Surfing awards, incorporating the Hall of Fame. John is a member of the Surfing NSW board and a lifelong surfer himself, while Dee has just begun to learn at her local beach, doing surf classes every Sunday.

Milk Crate Theatre works with people who have experienced homelessness and social marginalisation. It was lauded last year for Fearless, a powerful production at Sydney's Carriageworks which investigated portraits of loneliness. Komosion will partner, pro-bono, with Milk Crate Theatre to conduct a Think Tank to explore ways in which the group can further promote its productions and values.
